This week the church council and
selection panel met with and interviewed the three short-listed applicants
for the new vicar at Wilford. A recommendation on the chosen
candidate was then made to Bishop George. The final part of the
process will hopefully be completed over the coming week so that we can
make an announcement soon. |

A provisional
timetable for the selection process has been drawn up with Peter Hill,
the archdeacon of Nottingham. |

A small group has met to define the
'parish profile'. This document describes us as a church community
and what we want for the future. A draft of the document will be
written over the summer. The group also looked at the timetable for
the next few months and this will be published soon. |

On
Sunday 20 June, our rector (vicar) David Rowe announced that from 1
October he will be taking up the post of Warden of the Lee Abbey Community
in Devon. He and Pixie will therefore be leaving Wilford in
September and David's last day as Rector will be Friday 12 September. Read
