Easter Holidays

We hope you are having a good Easter break. Hopefully this new page will keep you up to date with what is happening in our classes and to let you know the exciting things we have been doing.

We had a really good end of term.

Thursday saw a full day of Easter activities with children from both classes joining up to work in small groups through out the day.

Mrs. Swindley explained why we have Easter eggs and made our lovely Easter cards with the children.

Mrs. Hollis worked with groups of children who  co-operated really well to design and make beautiful Easter gardens which were displayed in the church porch for Easter.

Miss Baldock and Mrs. Potter helped the children to make delicious Easter nests and the children found out about melting chocolate in the staff room microwave.

Mrs. Smith and I spent the day in the Memorial garden and school grounds with the children on an Easter egg hunt. They had to listen really carefully to instructions and locate an egg hidden somewhere around the outside of school. When all 10 eggs had been found they had an Easter egg to eat.

Friday saw a marathon of sporting activities to raise money for sports relief and our World Vision Sponsored children.

We held a mini sport show case in the hall with children showing off their sporting abilities. The 'Sporticus' entries definitely stole the show. We only wish we had entered them for the school showcase!

At play time the juniors came and walked round the field four times with us to walk a mile. We did really well and thank you to the juniors who looked after us.

In the afternoon we went to the hall to look at an exciting showcase of sporting skills from children throughout school. There were lots of cheerleading groups and some super gymnastics!
