This year's School Harvest Service took place on
Thursday 4th October, 2007 in Church. As previous years, our focus for giving was to support the work
of TEARFUND in addition to our normal gifts of produce.
The children were given TEARFUND collection boxes a couple of weeks before
the Harvest Celebrations and encouraged to collect money for TEARFUND. Members
of Wilford Playgroup and Church also collected for TEARFUND using these boxes.
This year we sent food parcels to Emmanuel
House, The Arches and The Friary Drop-in Centre. All these work to help
those in great need locally.
